Apollo Technical has an Immediate need for a Mechanical Engineer in the Austin, TX Area.
Requirements:
Education: BS Engineering Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics.
Language: Advanced English.
Italian is a plus.
Experience:
0-5 years as a Service Engineer working in Automotive Industry. Strong knowledge in pneumatics and hydraulics,
knowing how to read electrical diagrams. Strong knowledge in automation process.
Competences Skills
Technical:
• Knowledge of Coil Winding and Automation Machinery required.
• Knowledge in design CAD 3D and 2D (Solid Works, Cocreate, AutoCAD or similar).
• Familiarity with shop machinery (Mill, Lathe, Grinder, etc).
• Pneumatic and Hydraulic knowledge.
• Knowledge how to program carteciano system (In numerical control machines) is a plus.
• Knowledge with Co-Op programs with Robotics / Industrial Machinery.
• Good knowledge mechanical concepts related to robotics/industrial machinery.
• Should be able to handle technical task independently and with Service Department (USA and Italy).
Analytic:
• Communication skills and problem solving.
• High level of learning.

Administrative:

Principal assignments:
1. Assist in design of machines mechanically, both in 3D and detailing in 2D.
2. Develop bills of materials and documentation for machinery.
3. Perform mechanical/machine assembly functions, and able to work with tight tolerances.
4. Visit customer locations with equipment for direct service of existing machinery not correctable by phone.
5. Receive phone calls from customers regarding service of machines in the field.
6. Visit customer locations in order to install machinery and go through customer acceptance requirements.
7. Assist in programming winding and automation machinery to process products of customers.
8. Run acceptances of machinery in Europe to ensure they meet customer requirements.
9. Assist with spare parts identification and shipment of spare parts.
10. Document and monitor open points of the machine.
11. Connect remotely to the machine and give remote solutions to the client.
12. Close communication with Italy and the US to provide solutions to complex machine problems.
• Job entails extensive travel within North America (USA, MX and Canada at least 50% of the time, some travel to Europe also possible).
• Position will be located Austin, Texas, United States.
• Remote work when not at the customer site.
• Open to add some additional tasks to be part of the job description
