Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a CAD drafter / Tech near the Lavonia GA area

Position Overview:
. The ideal candidate will have experience with mechanical and electrical systems, CAD modeling, and quality testing, and will be able to assist engineers with practical implementation and troubleshooting.

• Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Modeling: Translate sketches and physical prototypes into precise 3D models and 2D technical drawings using CAD software.

  • Technical Interpretation: Read and analyze blueprints, schematics, and system reports to ensure project accuracy.

  • Problem Solving: Investigate equipment failures, diagnose malfunctions, and provide actionable recommendations to the maintenance and design teams.

  • Feasibility Analysis: Research customer proposals to evaluate cost, maintenance needs, and design feasibility.

  • Quality & Testing: Conduct rigorous system tests, collect performance data, and perform quality audits to ensure all products meet engineering specifications.

  • Collaboration: Act as a technical bridge between departments, providing feedback to design engineers based on real-world customer needs and system performance.

  What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED required, with active pursuit of an Engineering degree or technical certification.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.), MS Office, and ERP systems.

  • Mechanical Aptitude: A strong understanding of machine design, tool maintenance, and the practical application of engineering science.

  • Critical Thinking: The ability to troubleshoot complex hardware/software issues and interpret technical manuals or MSDS data.

  • Precision: Exceptional mathematical skills and a “measure twice, cut once” mentality toward technical drawings.
