Responsibilities
Test Execution & Protocol Development: Plan, create, and execute detailed test protocols, procedures, and validation plans for both new and existing fluid connector products.
Test Fixture & Lab Setup: Design, assemble, and maintain custom laboratory test fixtures, instrumentation, sensors, and data acquisition (DAQ) equipment.
Physical & Environmental Testing: Conduct hands-on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, environmental, durability, reliability, cycle-life, and pressure/flow/leakage testing.
Data Analysis & Technical Reporting: Analyze test data and draft technical reports containing clear conclusions, performance trends, and recommendations.
Failure Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Identify performance issues, support root cause investigations, execute corrective actions, and validate engineering change requests (ECRs).
Design Verification Collaboration: Partner with design engineers during early product development to evaluate prototypes and verify design requirements prior to full market launch.
Compliance & Lab Maintenance: Ensure all testing aligns with industry standards, internal specifications, and safety guidelines; maintain comprehensive laboratory records and traceability.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.
Experience: Hands-on experience in product testing, validation, lab engineering, or product development—ideally with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or fluid handling products.
Root Cause & Problem Solving: Demonstrated experience using structured problem-solving methodologies and root cause analysis.
Instrumentation & Data Acquisition: Proficiency with lab instrumentation, sensors, and DAQ systems, alongside the ability to read engineering drawings and specs.
Validation Methodologies: Knowledge of Design Verification (DV) and Product Validation (PV) processes, reliability testing, and performance testing standards.
Software Tools: High proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Office for data analysis and reporting; familiarity with CAD software and engineering data management systems is preferred.
