Responsible for preparing technical drawings to be used in construction plans for the Self-Storage facilities. Will specialize in single story, bi-level, and multi-story structures. Will also specialize in the use of metal materials such as steel structural framing, light gauge framing systems, metal wall and roof systems, and insulated metal panels.

Primary responsibilities

Create visual guidelines for construction purposes.

Use Computer Aided Design and Drafting systems to prepare drawings (AutoCAD, MBS)

Prepare engineering drawings that detail plans and specifications.

Prepare drawings showing the detail and method of assembly of structures.

Collaborate with Project Management to ensure timely and accurate release of submittals and drawings for Production

Responsible for the quality checking and accuracy of drawings prepared by themselves or those prepared by others.

Coordinate any design changes with Project Manager to ensure project is completed with correct ‘As Built’ drawings, as required by contract

Self-Starting, detail-oriented individuals with strong communications skills and the ability to work efficiently

Experience

Minimum 2-Year degree in Computer-Aided Design required.

2-4 years of professional experience in a manufacturing / architectural / construction field preferred.

Experience with sheet metal, structural steel & architectural blueprints is required.

Experience with MBS required
