Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Production CAD designer in the Clayton, NC area

This is a full time direct hire position with benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• CAD Design & Programming: Create and modify detailed 2D/3D CAD drawings, upholstery patterns, production markers, and CNC-ready files.

• Material Optimization: Calculate precise fabric yardage requirements, optimize marker layouts, and spearhead material utilization efforts to minimize waste.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with design, sewing, upholstery, and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot production issues and streamline workflows.

• Quality & Data Integrity: Inspect production outputs to ensure compliance with strict quality standards and maintain up-to-date, organized pattern databases.

• Technical Interpretation: Read, interpret, and translate complex blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications into actionable production data.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years of proven experience in CAD drafting, product design, CNC programming, or a related manufacturing environment.

• Core Software: Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks is required.

• Preferred Software: Hands-on experience with Accumark, Alphacam, and/or Lectra is highly desirable.

• Certification: CSWP (Certified SolidWorks Professional) certification is a strong plus.

• Skills: Strong analytical mindset, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and manufacturing efficiency.
