## Description

Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Software Engineer in the Adairsville, GA area.


**Role Overview:** Develop a prototype mobile app that uses on-device computer vision to instantly count stacked warehouse inventory (pallets, top frames, and layer pads).


**Key Responsibilities:**





- 
Build a functional mobile app prototype featuring a live camera feed and automated counting overlay.




- 
Annotate a dataset (300–500 images) and train a custom lightweight object detection model (YOLO v8/v11/YOLOX/YOLO-NAS).




- 
Export and optimize models (CoreML or TensorFlow Lite) for local, offline execution using hardware acceleration.




- 
Work closely with ownership to iterate, test, and refine the application.





**Preferred Qualifications:**





- 
Strong Python background for ML training pipelines.




- 
Hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV, and 1+ years with YOLO models.




- 
Proficiency with mobile frameworks (Flutter, React Native, Swift, or Kotlin).




- 
Experience deploying ML models to edge devices (phones, Raspberry Pi, etc.).





**Requirements:**





- 
Must be authorized to work in the US.




- 
Portfolio or GitHub showcasing past object detection projects deployed to edge devices.




- 
Must reside within commuting distance of Adairsville, GA for frequent on-site collaboration and hands-on testing.
