## Description

Apollo Technical has an immediate need for mechanical design engineer near the Rose Hill TX area

**Overview:**
Responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems. Performs
engineering design and engineering design evaluations.

**Duties:**
• Design and develop new products with limited supervision
• Use engineering data to identify and correct product deficiencies
• Ensure all products are designed for manufacture and assembly
• Perform design verification via stress calculations and FEA simulation in SolidWorks
• Provide design support for other departments
• Create models, assembly and part drawings, bill of materials, and inspection requirements
• Review designs and drawings for accuracy and compliance with specifications and standards
• Design and product test assemblies for research and development
• Carry out testing as part of the design validation process

**Requirements:**
• BS in engineering related field, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Design or
related field
• 2-5 years experience and proficiency designing with SolidWorks models and drawings
• 2-5 years experience designing mechanical components
• Experience with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM required
• GD&T experience is preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and complete projects without supervision
• Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams
